TEHRAN, Nov. 03 (MNA) – IRGC intelligence organization has said it has arrested members of an infiltration network in the media working for the enemy.Islamic Republic of Iran’s broadcaster IRIB report said that IRGC intelligence organization has arrested some members of an infiltration network who had links with western countries, and had been acting in media.
The report also said that the arrest came after months of surveillance of the network’s daily activities. It quoted IRGC intelligence organization would provide further information on later date.
Some media outlets had reports speculating the arrest of a Reformist activist Isa Saharkhiz, Ehsan Mazandarani, Head of Farhikhtegan daily, and Afarin Chitsaz, Iran Daily newspaper columnist by intelligence forces. No direct links has yet been speculated between these arrests and IRGC’s arrest of infiltration network.
The news comes amid arrest of an American-Lebanese national detained in Iran over espionage charges today.
