Tehran, Oct 27, IRNA -- A group of people held an illegal gathering on Monday in central city of Isfahan to protest a visit by the former British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw to the historical city.
The protesters gathered in front of the Arts University of Isfahan.
Earlier on Sunday, another illegal protest was staged in front of a hotel where Straw resided.
An official at Iran’s Foreign Ministry said Monday that Straw has been visiting Iran “as a British national and ordinary foreign tourist”.
Mohammad Karshenas said Straw came to Iran through a tourism company and traveled to Isfahan after visiting the historical provinces of Fars and Yazd.
