Baghdad, Oct 27, IRNA – The officials in charge of concerned Iranian institutions in Iraq rejected the news on the attack on pilgrims from Iranian city of Kashan in Baghdad.
The head of Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization's representative office Mostafa Qassemi in Baghdad said that there has been no report on the incident for the Iranian pilgrims who have went on pilgrimage to Iraq under the auspices of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
Qassemi said that explosions are commonplace in Baghdad and in case of any assault on Iranian pilgrims, the Iraqi sources, including hospital and security sources, inform the Iranian institutions, including embassy, consulates and Hajj and Pilgrimage representative offices even if the Iranian pilgrims had gone on pilgrimage outside the framework of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization because it is responsible for Iranian pilgrims in Iraq.
Menatime, another source at Iranian consulate office in Baghdad also said that according to the follow-ups through security sources and police no incident concerning attack on Iranian Hajj caravan has not taken place.
