TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Iranian national volleyball team stayed in eighth place in the FIVB Men’s Senior World Ranking.

Poland has leapfrogged Russia to take the No. 2 place.

Although Brazil did not participate in the World Cup, it remained as the top-ranked team in the world with a total of 330 points.

Brazil as host organizer of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games got to keep the points they earned from the 2011 World Cup, where they finished second.

Iran, who came eighth in the 2015 World Cup in Japan, is eighth with 145 points.
