Pointing to the Iran visit of German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier over the weekend, Sawsan Chebli said it was Steinmeier's impression in his talks with the Iranian side that Tehran will fully comply with all its nuclear commitments under the Vienna accord She added it was now up to Iran to fulfill the criteria and meet its commitments.
Asked by IRNA about Steinmeier's assessments of his talks in Iran, Chebli termed his meetings 'good'.
It was good to talk to Iran and it showed it was important to visit Iran. We have now an assessment when it comes to Iran's positions. We have some divergent interests which we cannot ignore and which still do exist, Chebli added.
Steinmeier embarked on his first-ever trip to Iran on Saturday and Sunday and meet his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, President Hassan Rouhani and Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani.
