Tehran, Oct 13, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani urged regional countries to promote economic development through joint action in order to fight terrorist groups which invest on the poverty of people.

'To secure stability, establish security, and encourage participation for development in the region, we need to take countless measures,' he said in a televised interview on Tuesday evening.

'With economic development we can create the basis to fight terrorism. Poverty recruits forces for terrorism,' he added.

He also said Iran pursues better relations with its neighboring countries which are Islamic nations too.
