Iran is ready to sign judicial agreements with all countries: Deputy FM

Tehran, October 7, The Iran Project - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister says the country is ready to sign judicial agreements with all the countries around the world.

Referring to the judicial and police agreements between Iran and 56 other countries, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hassan Ghashghavi announced that the country is ready to sign cooperation agreement with all countries in the fields of extradition, transfer of convicts and judicial assistance.

At the 6th meeting of police with ambassadors and charge d'affaires in Tehran, Iran’s Deputy FM said today's close relationship led to the emergence of organized crimes, including money laundering, drug trafficking, copyright and cybercrime, and stressed on the need for international cooperation to fight such criminal and dangerous behaviors.

Emphasizing on the need for bilateral and multilateral judicial and police agreements, Ghashghavi referred to several agreements the country has already signed with many different countries around the world.

He also pointed to Iran's cooperation with international conventions, like UN Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and the Convention against Corruption, and said it doesn't have any limitation for signing agreements with different countries on extradition, transfer of convicts and judicial assistance.
