TEHRAN (ISNA)- Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras would visit Iran, Kotzias said in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif in New York as they discussed ways to expand bilateral ties.
Kotzias offered condolences to Iran over Iranian pilgrims killed in Mina deadly crush.
Zarif, for his part, congratulated re-election of Tsipras as Greek Prime Minister and welcomed the further expansion of bilateral ties.
The two sides further explored Syrian crisis and ways to end the conflict in the county.
Zarif reiterated that no precondition should be set for ending conflicts and called for fighting terrorism and establishing
national unity government participated by all involved parties in Syria.
He also presented Iran’s plans to sort out Syrian crisis.
