Iran rejects reports on joint cooperation with Russia, Syria, Iraq on ISIL

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Ambassador to Iraq Hassan Danaie-Far rejected reports on Iran, Iraq and Syria and Russia cooperation to fight the ISIL.

He made the remarks after Reuters quoted Iraqi Army joint operations commanding center that the four countries plan to start joint information and intelligence cooperation to fight the ISIL in Iraq.

“This is not true and these reports are not serious and fundamental,” he said, adding those releasing such reports are after other goals.

He said Iran is standing by Iraqi forces seriously to fight the ISIL and help Iraqi government under the framework of consultation and training.
