Iran provides free support services to special schools students

Tehran, September 23, The Iran Project – Iran’s Department of Special Education has implemented the plan that provides free support services to 120 thousand students in the country’s special schools, says Mohsen Ghafourian.

Iran’s Department of Special Education has provided special students with some free rehabilitation services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, vision and hearing evaluation, Mohsen Ghafourian said on Wednesday in the symbolic ceremony marked the beginning of the new academic year.

He went on to say that this year, for the first time, Iran’s Department of Special Education distributed 550 thousand textbooks, audio tapes, and educational software in the special schools across the country.

He also thanked Tehran Municipality for providing free transportation service to the special students in Tehran.
