Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left here for Tunis, Tunisia, Monday morning on the third round of his regional tours following Iran’s July 14 nuclear deal with the Group 5+1.
During his two previous regional tours, Zarif has visited Lebanon, Syria, India, Pakistan, Qatar, Kuwait and Iraq.
While in Tunisia, the Iranian foreign minister is to discuss issues of mutual interest with senior officials of the African country.
Zarif will leave Tunisia for Algeria at the end of his visit to Tunis.
According to Foreign Ministry's Media Diplomacy Department, avenues for promoting bilateral ties with major North African countries, latest regional and international developments such as diplomatic settlement to the humanitarian crisis gripping Syria, Yemen and Libya are top on agenda of Zarif’s negotiations with the two North African governments.
