Tehran, Aug. 22, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani has officially invited his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambayev to visit Iran.
The invitation letter was submitted to Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldayev by Iranian ambassador to Bishkek Ali Najafi on Saturday.
Underlining that after taking office, President Rouhani made his first foreign visit to Kyrgyzstan in September 2013, the Kyrgyz foreign minister said that the visit to Tehran by Kyrgyzstan's president is of special significance.
Abdyldayev said that Iran and Kyrgyzstan enjoy abundant capacities for promotion of ties and boosting friendship.
He described the nuclear deal between Iran and the world powers as a major achievement which was an outcome of the resistance of the Iranian government and nation.
Meanwhile, the Iranian ambassador expressed satisfaction about the growing relations between Tehran and Bishkek.
He said the visit to Iran by the Kyrgyz president would be a new step in cordial relations between the two nations.
