Tehran, Aug 19, IRNA – Iran on Wednesday protested to Turkey over systematic attacks on Iran trucks and nationals moving on international transit roads inside the Turkish territory.
Director General of the Commonwealth and Caucasus Affairs Department at Foreign Ministry, Morteza Moradian, on Wednesday communicated with Turkish Ambassador in Tehran, R?za Hakan Tekin, to convey Iranian protest over continued attacks on Iranian nationals and trucks in Turkish soil.
Moradian said that the Turkish government must pay more attention to ensure safety and security of Iranian trucks and nationals.
The protest was raised following unrest on eastern Turkey and the systematic terrorist attacks on Iranian lorry drivers.
Tekin said that he would convey Iranian protest to the Turkish government and would communicate the reply from Ankara to Iranian Foreign Ministry.
