Iran feels duty-bound to help Syria: Larijani

Tehran, August 19, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said Wednesday that Iran feels duty-bound to help Syria.

Speaking during a meeting in Tehran with visiting Syrian Minister of Health Nizar Yazigi, Larijani reiterated Iran's readiness to provide health and medical supplies to Syria.

Larijani hailed the resistance of the Syrian government and nation over the past few years and expressed hope that the Syrians would win over the terrorist groups in the near future.

He said that Tehran government has supported the Syrian government and nation during the crisis and will spare no effort to support Syria in the future.

Meanwhile, the Syrian minister of health, congratulated Larijani on Iran's achievement in the nuclear issue and clinching a deal on July 14 and said that the Syrian people will never forget Iran's support during tough times.

Yazigi said that his country is in dire need of Iranian medical supplies and expressed hope that the recently reached agreements between the two countries would took effect in the near future to help alleviate the sufferings of the Syrian nation.
