Tehran, August 18, The Iran Project - A member of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization says Iran will have an ambassador in Palestine shortly.
Referring to his recent talks with Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, Ahmed Majdalani, a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said “Iran’s ambassador in Jordan is likely to be a non-resident ambassador in Palestine.”
Stressing on Palestinian officials’ willingness to have strong ties with Iran, Majdalani said in the meeting with Iranian officials, it was agreed to set up a “high-profile” joint committee to cooperate in political, commercial and educational issues.
He also announced the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s planned visit to Iran within the next two months in a bid to improve bilateral relations with the Islamic Republic.
