Tehran, Aug 16, IRNA – Iran's borders are safest in the region, the Iranian Border Guard Commander Brigadier General Ghasem Rezaie said on Sunday.

Iranian border guards are ready to counter any type of unusual movement in the borders, he added.
Iranian and Afghan border guards discussed various issues of human and drug trafficking and providing security of Iranian drivers and traders in border lines and also inside Afghanistan in the fourth meeting of Border Guard Commanders of Iran and Afghanistan in the Iranian city of Taibad, the official added.
The meeting was held on Saturday in the presence of 50 Iranian and Afghan border guards.
