New Delhi, Aug 13, IRNA – After the meeting of President Hassan Rouhani to India and his meeting with Narandra Modi on the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Ufa, Russia, New Delhi and Tehran have ushered in new era of bilateral relations.
The upcoming visit of Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to India will also help to broadening of bilateral ties and mutual cooperation between Iran and India.
President Rouhani during his meeting which took place on July 10, called for India's $8 billion investment in Iran and playing greater role by India in Iran.
Zairf's visit to New Delhi will take place in the second round of his regional tour after the nuclear agreement between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany) on Thursday afternoon which can further enhance Iran-India relations.
The top Iranian diplomat started his second round of regional tour to the regional countries in Beirut, then he visit Syria and Islamabad.
According to Iranian Ambassador to New Delhi, Zarif will meet his Indian counterpart, Indian prime minister and minister of shipping and transportation.
Zarif's visit to India is the second of its kind since President Rouhani took office nearly two years ago.
