Tehran, August 7, IRNA – Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Friday felicitating the National Reporter's Day -- August 8.

National Reporters Day marks the martyrdom of IRNA correspondent to Afghanistan Mahmoud Saremi 17 years ago in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif.
In its statement, the Foreign Ministry appreciated efforts by Iranian media for statisfactory coverage of the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the six world powers.
Highlighting the role of the media to illuminate the public opinion, the statement hailed the non-stop efforts of all the reporters, particularly those active in the area of issues related to Foreign Ministry.
The statement wished success and prosperity for all those engaged in this 'sensitive and difficult job'.
