The chairman of Iran National Carpet Center has said that Iran’s exports of hand-woven carpets will take a remarkable leap in 2016, adding that it takes time for Iran to reclaim its previous market share.
Hamid Kargar further said that the carpet market has undergone change over the past five years with our rivals – India included – breaking into the market to replace Iran.
He said that Iran continued its exports to Europe during the sanctions era, adding that the country needs to redouble its efforts, take into account the taste of foreign consumers and offer a new pricing formula for its hand-woven carpets.
