Tehran, July 27, IRNA – Health minister on Monday criticized critics of government for raising contaminated blood supplies to Iranian hemophilia patients in run-up for a visit to Tehran of French foreign minister.
'Although I am not a diplomat I know that the nuclear agreement is a precious achievement for our country and raising the case of aids contaminated blood supplies to Iranian hemophilia patients in the run-up for a visit to Tehran of French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius is against national interests,' said Hassan Hashemi at a Health Ministry conference on mothers and children's health.
He said that Iran has taken legal action against French medical company dating back to several years ago and it is not the proper time to bring up with the French foreign minister.
'That is for instance like you raise the German companies role in providing chemical substances for Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war right before the visit of a top German official,' the health minister said.
The hemophilia patients' file is a matter for the the judiciary to be conducted with the dignity of the Iranian nation, not raising hue and cry to create challenges for our own country's Foreign Ministry,' said Dr Hashemi.
