TEHRAN, Jul. 15 (MNA) – Ayatollah Rafsanjani praised the gains acquired at the end of the nuclear talks in a gathering on Tuesday evening.

In an Iftar ceremony held at the headquarters of Iran's Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani the Chairman of the Council met with some prominent figures of Iran’s art and culture along with a group of journalists.

Hashemi touched upon the agreement reached between Iran and 5+1 – the US, the UK, France, Russia, China, plus Germany- and called it a breakthrough achievement for Iran with gains even superior to the Liberation of Khorramshahr City of Iran from Ba’athi regime of Saddam in 1981.

Further the Ayatollah added that the discontent of Israelis and Zionist Lobby with the agreement achieved is a sign of success for the Iranian side of the talks.

Hashemi referred to the patience undertaken by Iranian negotiating team and highlighted it as a symbol of peace-loving nature of all Iranians.

He also reviewed the course of disagreements over Iran’s wholly peaceful nuclear program and between the years of his presidency and 2015, lamenting the Westerners excuse-picking approach and praising the resistance of Iranians.

The Chairman of Iran's Expediency Council reiterated that while Iran is not seeking war and logically not seeking the unconventional weapons of mass destruction, it was not reasonably afraid of inspections.

Referring to indigenization of nuclear science and technology in Iran, he added that now Iran is capable of exporting its peaceful technology as the country has now been accepted as a country capable of generating electricity out of nuclear energy.

Further he voiced gratitude towards Iran’s negotiators who were patient in face of all difficulties. He praised the logic of Iranians whose FM convinced the FMs of six powerful countries to cede to Iran’s nuclear right.
