Technical talks are practically finished: Salehi

13 Jul 2015 - 11:28

Tehran, July 13, IRNA – Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi announced that the technical talks on Iran's nuclear program have been practically finished.

Talking to Iranians' Nuclear Hope website, Salehi said the base of the Vienna talks was Lausanne statement.

Lausanne statement brought big achievements for Natanz, Arak, nuclear research and other important issues, said Salehi.

Arak reactor has potential to turn into a multi-dimensional reactor with high capability, said Salehi while talking about the restrictions Iran has accepted during the talks.

He added 'exchange' is among basic issues during the talks and it is natural.

Although Iran accepted some limitations, the negotiating team tried hard not to let those restrictions have any impact on nuclear activities, said Salehi.

The Iranian team made efforts not to make nuclear activities slow, stressed he.

Referring to Iran's quick moves to nuclear achievements, Salehi said the country has gained a lot of experiences in the issue.

But, he stressed, there is a long path towards making the nuclear industry matured.

Iran is determined to sell its strategic products including enriched uranium and heavy water, said Salehi, while referring to the technical discussions he had.

Fortunately, he said, the Iranian nuclear team could finish the Vienna talks on technical issues by holding intensive negotiations.

There is no special remaining issue, said Salehi, adding that the two sides are to review the written text to adjust it to the verbal talks.

He assured the Iranian nation that the nuclear team has been making all-out efforts to preserve Iran's rights to continue peaceful nuclear activities.
