Tehran, July 2, IRNA – Iran's permanent representative and ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency Reza Najafi described IAEA Director-General Yukiya Amano's talks with senior Iranian officials as useful and constructive.
'Amano's meetings with Iranian officials were held in an interactive atmosphere accompanied with understanding and paving the needed background for removal of concerns,' Najafi said.
He noted that the two sides reached a general understanding on the time framework, continuation of cooperation by taking considerations of Iran and IAEA into account.
Najafi said that the two sides will soon hold coordination meetings to determine the details and timetable of the attempts at expert level.
Amano arrived in Tehran on Wednesday.
The IAEA in a brief statement announced that the main purpose of Amano's visit to Iran is accelerating the trend of agreement and resolving of the remaining issues.
