Yazd, June 30, IRNA – Nuclear talks showed that Iran has a logical approach in its foreign policy, Justice Minister Hojjatoleslam Mostafa Pourmohammadi said on Tuesday.
Speaking here in a local ceremony, he praised the negotiating team for defending Iran's nuclear rights.
Presence of world powers in nuclear talks with Iran is a sign of Islamic Republic power, the official added.
He said that despite sanctions, government has been able to stay on its feet and resolve the country's economic problems.
US demands for talks is because of country's power which has roots in nation's resistance, Pourmohammadi underlined.
The official stressed continuation of Iran's support for the oppressed nations of Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and Syria.
Iran and the P5+1 – the US, Russia, Britain, China, France, and Germany – have been in talks to reach a comprehensive deal on Tehran’s nuclear energy program following a mutual understanding reached in the Swiss city of Lausanne early in April after months of tough negotiations.
The negotiations would continue into Tuesday when Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, are expected to arrive in the Austrian capital.
