TEHRAN, Jun. 23 (MNA) – On fifth day of Islamic holy month of Ramadan, President Rouhani donated charity funds for release of prisoners with financial debts.

Contributing to Golrizan ceremony of Ramadan 2015, President Hassan Rouhani donated $48,000, according to the official presidential website.

In the annually held ceremony of Golrizan which is an Iranian tradition in holy month of Ramadan, people donate funds to help release inmates who are sentenced to pay for inadvertent crime along with those put behind the bars for financial debts.

President Rouhani also invited more participation of all Iranians in the ritual as Iranians are more willing to do charity in Ramadan.
