TEHRAN, Jun. 20 (MNA) – Iran has rejected a Bahraini security official’s allegations on having seized explosives belonging to the Islamic Republic.

An informed source in Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rejected the allegations of a Bahraini security official, saying “in the past few years, it has been proved that false projection and placing blames on others by Bahraini officials have not only solved any of the problems of the Arab country but have also further complicated the matters.”

The informed source advised the Bahraini officials to provide the necessary conditions for serious talks by taking trust-building measures instead of adopting a security and tribal approach.

Bahrain alleged on Thursday it had seized explosives and detonation materials designated for use in Bahrain and neighboring Saudi Arabia in what it described as an Iranian attempt to use Bahraini borders as a base for attacking targets in the region.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly denied any interference in Bahrain, calling for political dialogue in the Arab country instead. On Tuesday, Iran's Foreign Ministry said Manama's 'security approach' would not solve the country's political tensions.

Since 2011, the tiny Persian Gulf state has been engulfed with peaceful protest against Al-Khalifah ruling dynasty for dictatorship and oppressing Shia majoriy population in the country. About 75 percent of Bahraini Muslims are Shia and teh ruling dynasty is Sunni, depriving Shia population of high-ranking positions and role in government.
