TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Ambassador to Kabul Mohammad Reza Bahrami categorically rejected any ties between Tehran and the extremist Taliban group.
"Iran and Taliban don't have any relations; no bounds have been defined in Iran's security strategy with those groups which create panic, and any ties with these groups will harm Iran, the region and outside the region," Bahrami told Afghanistan's Tolounews TV on Thursday.
"Iran doesn’t support such groups at all," he added.

His remarks came after certain western media claimed that Iran and Taliban have teamed up against the ISIL terrorist group.
"Such reports are not documented and raise baseless claims," Bahrami said.
