TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani congratulated his counterparts in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) over the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

In separate messages issued on Wednesday, Larijani expressed the hope that with the great blessings of the fasting month of Ramadan, the Islamic countries would witness the enhancement of Muslim unity and solidarity.

He further called on the OIC countries to try their best to confront fanaticism and religious and sectarian disputes.

Larijani also whished health and success for his counterparts and prosperity for the Islamic countries.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and a time when Muslims across the world fast during the hours of daylight.
