An official with Iran Drug Control Headquarters said Monday that as much as 100 tons of narcotics, including traditional, industrial and psychedelic drugs, will be destroyed in 23 provinces across Iran on June 26 marking International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Seyyed Najib Hosseini further said at least 500 drug addicts were rehabilitated last year and later employed by entrepreneurs, adding that we have plans to create sustainable jobs for 3,000 addicts who are given a clean bill of health.
