9 May 2015 - 15:47

TEHRAN, May 09 (MNA) – Italian Remazel Engineering a leading supplier to the offshore, oil and gas and energy industries is planning to reopen office in Iran even if anti-Iranian sanctions remain.

Federico Albano, Director of Engineers’ Business Development Section of Remazel Engineering maintained that while the company currently had no joint oil project with Iran, they are seeking to expand joint engineering projects in oil and gas industries with the Islamic Republic.

“We have not yet designed a thorough plan for the post-sanction situation in Iran, but in case the sanctions continued to be imposed we will have to seek other alternatives to make use of existing resources and review our projects,” he said.

Albano maintained that once the sanctions are fully lifted, Iran will need all the world’s technology and financial resources to fund its various projects.

According to him, Iran’s return to its past position in the world’s industry and trade will be a long-term process; “Iran needs to achieve sustainable development in its domestic and international trade and improving the current situation needs a lot of time,” he said.

Albano added that Remazel Engineering had 45 years of experience in developing, designing and manufacturing solutions for the offshore sector that include winches, mooring and pipelay systems, as well as petrochemical refineries, cement industry and nuclear power plants.
