Tehran, May 5, IRNA – Reinforcing domestic manufacturing by reliance on the principles of the Economy of Resistance has been chosen as the motto of the 20th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition which opens in Tehran on May 6.
Head of Policy-Making Council of the exhibition Akbar Nematollahi made the remarks during a press conference held on Monday, adding with regard to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s emphasis on the importance of the Economy of Resistance, the 20th Oil Exhibition will be focused on maximum use of domestic capabilities in oil industry.
Dealing with domestic manufacturing from a deep and scientific angle and promoting knowledge-based companies are the main priorities of the 20th Oil Show, Nematollahi said, according to shana.ir. He added that dynamism of Iranian oil companies and taking advantage from interaction with foreign companies owning technical know-how is key to Iran’s oil industry progress.
Pointing to presence of senior officials of the country including first vice president and Petroleum Minister in the inauguration ceremony of the oil show, Nematollahi said more than 1200 Iranian companies and 600 foreign companies from 29 countries will take part in the exhibition.
Companies from Italy, China, UAE, India, Turkey, Russia, France, Belgium, England, Singapore, Monaco, South Korea, Ukraine, Spain, Austria, Kazakhstan and Switzerland are among the key participants of the exhibition, he said.
“In addition to the above-mentioned companies, some countries such as Norway and Poland will take part in the exhibition along with their economic and trade delegations”, according to Nematollahi, who is also head of public relations department of the Petroleum Ministry.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he said a number of research seminars will be held on the sidelines of the four-day event in which four main subsidiaries of Petroleum Ministry will have opportunities to sit face to face with oil companies and domestic manufacturers and exchange their views.
