Iran poses for five percent inflation

27 Apr 2015 - 10:15

TEHRAN, Apr. 26 (MNA) – Iran's minister of economy and finance has expressed hope for a lower annual inflation rate in near future.

Emphasizing on Iran’s strong will for economic recovery, Minister of Economy and Finance Ali Tayyeb Nia added that the Rouhani administration has already tackled the economic downslide and lowered the annual inflation rate.

Earlier last month, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani had said that Iran has already pulled itself out of a multiple year economic stagnation and stressed that the country is set to proceed toward stronger economic improvements.

Announcing that the country’s annual official inflation rate reached 16.3 percent in January, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) backed its 2014 report of country's economy growth after two years of stagnation.
