Russia has not received any offers to create a military union with Iran, according to Sergei Lavrov.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – There is no need for a Russian-Iranian military union and Russia has not received any offers to create one, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday.
"There is absolutely no need for a military union. We don’t need it and neither do the Iranians. I’m quite sure that we have not received any offers from Iran [to create one] and I believe it’s completely unrealistic and unnecessary,” Lavrov said during an interview to Russian radio stations Sputnik, Ekho Moskvy, and Govorit Moskva.
