Austrian Foreign Ministry said that P5+1 group of international mediators and Iran will hold anew round of talks in Vienna on April 24, following a series of expert meetings.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The P5+1 group of international mediators and Iran will hold a new round of talks in Vienna on April 24, following a series of expert meetings, the Austrian Foreign Ministry said Monday.

"Talks between technical experts will be held on April 22-23, while a meeting of political directors will take place on April 24," ministry's spokesman Martin Weiss said, adding the latter is set to last for only one day.

Following breakthrough talks in the Swiss city of Lausanne in early April, Iran and the P5+1 group of major powers, namely the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, China, France and Germany, reached a political framework agreement on Tehran's controversial nuclear program.

The Islamic Republic agreed, among other things, to cut the number of centrifuges by more than two-thirds in 10 years, as well as not to enrich uranium over 3.67 percent for 15 years.

The deadline to sign a final comprehensive deal that would guarantee the peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program is set for July 1, 2015.
