Kuala Lumpur, April 20, IRNA – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is to fly to Indonesia on Tuesday to attend the summit of the Asian African Conference in Jakarta.
Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will accompany the President.
President Rouhani is planned to hold bilateral meetings during his Jakarta trip, Iran's Ambassador to Indonesia Valiollah Mohammadi Nasrabadi told IRNA.
The Iranian President is visiting Jakarta at the invitation of his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo to take part in the 60th anniversary of the Asian African Conference known as Bandung Conference, the ambassador said.
He added representatives from 109 world states and 20 international and regional organizations will attend the Conference, in which the Iranian President will deliver a speech.
In commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Asian African Conference and 10th Anniversary of the New Asian African Strategic Partnership (NAASP), the Government of the Republic of Indonesia will host a series of high level events under the theme “Strengthening South-South Cooperation to Promote World Peace and Prosperity” in Jakarta and Bandung on April 19-24, 2015.
The Ministerial Meeting of the Asian African Conference started work today in the Indonesian capital.
The summit of the Conference is set for April 22-24 that will be held in both Jakarta and Bandung City.
