Tehran, April 19, IRNA – Iran and Afghanistan inked two cooperation agreements on Sunday.
The agreements were signed by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his visiting Afghan counterpart Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
Ghani arrived in Tehran Sunday morning and was welcomed by Iran’s Interior Minister Abdol Reza Rahmani Fazli at the airport.
He is leading a high-ranking delegation to Tehran for a two-day visit to the country upon the official invitation of President Rouhani.
Ashraf Ghani is to confer with a number of ranking Iranian officials on ways to promote and consolidate mutual cooperation.
