TEHRAN April 15(Shana)--An Omani delegation is expected to travel to Tehran next week to discuss a planned gas pipeline project with Iranian officials, the head of National Iranian Gas Exports Company (NIGEC) said.
“With the presence of Omani delegation, the Iranian consultant for basic engineering studies and offshore issues of Iran’s gas exports will be chosen,” Ali-Reza Kameli said.
He said that a 200-kilometer pipeline is to be laid out from Mountain Mobarak to Sahar Port in Oman.
In 2013, Iran agreed to supply 28 mcm/d of gas to Oman through a subsea pipeline for a period of 15 years.
