Tehran, April 11, IRNA – Commander of the Ground forcers of the Army said Saturday that the Army will unveil five new achievements on April 15 on the eve of the National Army Day that falls on April 18.

Brigadier-General Amir Pourdastan made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony to commemorate Martyr Ali Sayyad Shirazi, assassinated in 1999 by agents of Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization.

Pourdastan said that among the achievements to be unveiled are 23mm caliber sniper gun and advanced wheeled battle tank carrying 90-mm caliber.

He said that the Iranian army is closely monitoring the enemies' threats and expands its capacities compatible with the threats.
