Tehran, April 5, IRNA – Managing Director of National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) Ali Akbar Safaie said Iranian tankers are ready to visit European ports once the sanctions are removed.




He said his company has already contacted a number of European countries and is going to resume visiting European ports with removal of sanctions.

Commenting on the outcome of the recent joint statement between Iran and 5+1 on Tehran's nuclear program, Safaie said even at this early stage of a preliminary agreement, the company is able to shape its future plans for re-entering international markets.

Given the fact that the Iranian oil fleet is one of the biggest and youngest of its own in the world, he said the European customers will certainly welcome Iranian oil tankers to their ports.
