Berlin, Mar 25, IRNA -- The German government confirmed that the victims of the deadly Germanwings plane crash in the French Alps on Tuesday included also Iranian nationals, according to IRNA.
Foreign ministry spokesman Martin Schaefer told journalists in Berlin on Wednesday that Iranian citizens were among the victims of Germanwings Flight 9525.
He did not identify the Iranian victims and did not say how many Iranian were actually on board the aircraft.
Meanwhile, Germanwings CEO Thomas Winkelmann reaffirmed that based on the boardling list two Iranians were on the plane.
Iranian officials confirmed earlier in the day that two Iranian sports journalists, Milad Hojjatoleslami and Hossein Javadi were on the
flight from Barcelona to Dusseldorf.
