Tehran, March 15, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said the recent act of the American senators proved that Iran’s lack of trust in America was quite justified.
Addressing the Sunday session of the Parliament, he referred to the recent letter of 47 US Senate members to Iran's Supreme Leader and said what they included in the letter was harshly against international norms and inflicted a serious blow to their country’s legal image.
He said the move was inspired by the fact that the US Congress suffered much from making hollow investments on the meaningless claims of the Zionist regime prime minister which was met with total indifference by the world public opinion.
He also said the letter was just an indication to prove once more that the financial supports of Zionist lobbies have caused a political recklessness in America.
The speaker further stressed that all countries are facing the rational question that to whom they engage in negotiations when they are considering striking a deal with the US officials.
In their relations with the US, he added, countries are now wondering whether they are dealing with a government which deceitfully assumed global leadership and has absolute power or one which is literally nothing inside.
He renewed the support of the Iranian Parliament for the nuclear negotiations team and advised them to be more tactful in their future moves.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Larijani condemned the physical attack on a Parliament member during his Shiraz visit and went on to stress that such hooliganism will certainly work against the interests of the country especially because of its foreign reflections.
