TEHRAN March 11(Shana)--Iran is determined to bring its refining capacity to 3 mb/d in four years, a deputy petroleum minister said.“Efforts are under way for the country’s refining capacity to reach 3 mb/d by the [calendar year] 1397 (which starts in March 2019),” Mansour Moazzami said.
He said that construction of eight gas condensate refineries, under Siraf refining park project, would bring Iran’s refining capacity from 1.8 mb/d to 2.28 mb/d.
Iran’s Ministry of Petroleum plans to build eight mini-refineries to process gas condensate.
