Tehran, March 1, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday expressed sorrow over the sad incident of avalanche which has claimed lives of about 300 people in neighboring Afghanistan.
In a message to his Afghan counterpart President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Saturday, President Rouhani e also voiced his condolences with the Afghan nation and cabinet over the natural disaster which affected several provinces in the country, mainly Panjshir.
He said Iranian nation, as always before in the contemporary history of Afghanistan, will stay with the Muslim nation.
Iranians certainly share the sad feelings of the Afghan nation over the incident, he added.
President Rouhani also voiced his readiness to dispatch any kind of assistance the country needed.
A fatal avalanche stroke several provinces of Afghanistan mainly Panjshir claiming lives of over 280 with another 143 people injured.
