TEHRAN Feb 20(Shana)--Iran has stopped importing gasoil and will soon become an exporter, director for international affairs of National Iranian Oil Company aid.
“Iran will soon be exporting this petroleum product,” Mohsen Qamsari said.
He said in recent months Iran was forced to import a number of gasoil cargoes due to seasonal demand.
Qamsari said the main challenge to petroleum products’ export is the inability of Iranian banks in providing financial guarantees to buyers.
Deputy petroleum minister for planning and supervision on hydrocarbon resources, Mansour Moazzami, recently said that Iran is maximizing the use of natural gas in the country in order to save liquid fuel for exports.
