Ankara, Feb 19, IRNA – Two Iranian nationals imprisoned in Turkey were delivered to the Iranian Police on Thursday to serve their prison terms in their home country.
Extradition of the prisoners took place following consultations made by diplomats of the Iranian embassy in Ankara with officials of Turkish ministries of Justice and Foreign Affairs.
Promotion of Tehran-Ankara judicial cooperation has led to major achievements over the past year including swapping of a Turkish national held in Iran with an Iranian inmate kept in Istanbul.
Judicial officials of Tehran and Ankara have considered enhancement of bilateral relations between the two capitals as a turning point in mutual relations between the two neighboring countries.
