Kuala lumpur, Feb13, IRNA – Singaporean Minister of Communications and Information, in a meeting with Iran's Deputy Minister of Communication said his country is ready to develop cooperation with Iran in various fields of information technology.
The Singaporean Minister Yaacob Ibrahim told his Iranian visitor that Singapore is to set up a new organization in the next few months to strengthen cyber security.
The Singaporean minister expounded on the policies of the city-state to further expand Internet services and called for cooperation with Iran in the field of communications.
He also extended an invitation for Iran's Minister of Communication Mahmoud Vaezi to attend a meeting of IT ministers to be held in Singapore on June 3 to 5.
The meeting is to be held simultaneous with Singapore Telecom Exhibition and Yaacob called for strong presence of Iranian companies in the exhibition.
The singaporean minister said his country is ready to cooperate with Iran on cyber security and the two sided called for exchange of information in this field.
Meanwhile, Iranian Deputy Minister Nassrollah Jahangard invited Singaporean companies to particiapate in Iran's developmental projects.
Jahangard, on behalf of Vaezi, invited the Singaporean minister to pay a visit to Iran.
