PM Abe to debate Japan’s military rescuing citizens abroad

2 Feb 2015 - 17:02

TEHRAN (FNA)- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Monday he wanted to debate the possibility of the military rescuing of Japanese citizens abroad.
The statement came a day after the ISIL terrorists said they had beheaded Japanese journalist Kenji Goto, RT reported.

“Preserving the safety of Japanese nationals is the responsibility of the government, and I am the person who holds the most responsibility,” Abe told a parliamentary committee.

On Sunday, Abe vowed to boost Japan’s humanitarian aid to the Middle-East.
