Consensus on the main issue was reached within the framework of the Geneva agreements, and now the details are under discussion, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says.
YEREVAN, January 27. /TASS/. Iran has no aim to create nuclear weapons and its nuclear program is peaceful, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is in Yerevan on an official visit, said on Tuesday.
Zarif said after talks in the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful and the Islamic Republic has nothing to prove in this respect. “We have no aim to create nuclear weapons, and do not need to convince the international community of this.” “Consensus on the main issue was reached within the framework of the Geneva agreements, and now the details are under discussion,” Zarif said.
Many countries need to understand that sanctions against Iran are not the best way to resolve problems, said the foreign minister. According to him, the language of sanctions with Iran, the same as with any other people, is impossible.
The Iranian nuclear issue solution is near, the minister said. The nuclear deal meets not only Iranian interests, but also the interests of all countries of the region, Zarif said.
