Having friendly relations with Iran is in the interests of the West, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated, according to Iranian news website Tabnak.ir.
Referring to Western countries’ policy towards Iran, Ahmadinejad said, in part, “Are you really concerned about Iran’s nuclear program and are you concerned about human rights? I do not say that there are no problems. Problems exist everywhere.

Having friendly relations with Iran is in your interests. Certainly, you may choose another way, but if 5-6 years later you have chosen another way, do not say you regret it.”
