Larijani: West should seize nuclear talks opportunity with Iran

15 Jan 2015 - 16:56

Qom, Jan 15, IRNA – Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani said on Thursday that West should seize the opportunity of nuclear negotiations with Iran and avoids political, business-like bargainings in the talks.
Larijani made the remarks in a local gathering in the holy city of Qom.
He underscored that the enemies have been trying to hinder Iran's scientific progress.

He also called for unity among the political and economic sectors in Iran aimed at showing the country's readiness to continue its path in the nuclear issue.

Deploring the French magazine Charlie Hebdo over repetition of wrongful act for publishing a cartoon depicting Islam’s Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the speaker said that the intelligence services are behind such acts aimed at creating trends for the terrorists.

Iranian foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and his US counterpart John Kerry met in Geneva on Wednesday six weeks after the deadline for Iran-Group 5+1 talks was extended until July 1st, 2015.

Zarif departed for Geneva early Wednesday morning along with his deputies Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Abbas Araqchi, Director General of Foreign Ministry for Political and International Security Affairs Hamid Baeidinejad and Deputy Oil Minister Amir-Hossein Zamani-Nia.
